I made it into the honourable mentions of Develop magazine's "30 under 30" feature for 2012. Definitely a cool surprise, especially since I've only been in the industry full-time for 7 months or so. Thanks to my art director for nominating me.

Also, here's a WIP for an environment. I've been noodling this rough quite a bit, as I have a very specific goal for how I want this to turn out. I've been more or less happy with the mood from the get go, but I'm not sure the composition is quite right for what I have in mind regarding architectural elements.

Meh, I prefer the original sketch. The rendering on this feels kinda muddy and stagnant to me.

Fresh Start

With the Google+ deletion incident leaving all of my blog posts with no images, I've decided to just delete everything and start over from here. I've been seriously neglecting this place lately, and I think it's about time I started regular updates again.

Hopefully I'll get the chance to show some of the work I've been doing for Lionhead at some point in the not to distant future, but until then I'll try and keep the personal work flowing in at a steady trickle.

This little guy started off as an art test for some potential freelance work, but was rejected at the initial sketch stage. I decided to refine the design a little and finish it up for myself anyway; I figure it's safe to post provided I don't go into any more detail than that. I may paint him up at some point too.
